We have received several complaints last week about a high latency on Belgium DSL connections. These problems can cause for example web pages not to load and time out, and email messages not to come in. These problems can occur on DSL connections in the regions of Antwerp, Limburg and Flemish-Brabant.
The cause of these problems is situated on the ethernet backbone. The supplier is urged to take appropriate actions to implement a solution a.s.a.p.
Our apologizes for the inconvenience.

In July we will launch a new upgrade option to our Yabu ADSL connections. It applies to the Basic, Extra and Fixed subscription packages. This speed upgrade will be most likely provided as an add-on package upon your current subscription. It will be possible to upgrade the Basic and Extra subscriptions to 9.0 mbps and 12mbps. The Fixed packages can be upgraded to 12 mbps.
The speed upgrades will be available in 85% of the Belgium areas, the technology is based on ADSL2+.
As written, the speed upgrade will be an extra option. The prices, the exact regions where it will be available and the exact date when we will start offering these packages are not clear yet. Also our customer service can not answer these questions yet. As soon as we know more details, we will post it on the blog.
ADSL2+ packages are already available in Kessel-Lo, Leuven and Sint-Truiden. These packages are available for pre-ordering in Antwerp, Berchem, Gent, Hasselt, Lier, Mechelen and Oostende. The cities named for pre-ordering will be connected in August.
